CIC Strengthens Regional Ties at ADIHEX 2024 in Abu Dhabi
The International Council for Game and Wildlife Conservation (CIC) was pleased to participate in ADIHEX 2024, held last weekend in Abu Dhabi. As the largest exhibition of its kind in the Middle East, ADIHEX unites falconry, hunting, and equestrian sports, with a strong focus on sustainability and conservation—values that resonate deeply with CIC’s mission.
CIC shares a long-standing history with our hosts, the Emirates Falconers Club, and we are eager to deepen our collaboration in the future. With preparations well underway for the 71st General Assembly in Qatar next year, ADIHEX provided an invaluable opportunity to strengthen connections with our regional associates. We engaged with representatives of the UAE government and interacted with our industry partners from Europe and beyond. These industry partners were prominently represented at this extraordinary celebration of Middle Eastern hunting culture.
During the event, CIC representatives had the opportunity to meet with key figures from the Emirates Falconers Club, including Majed Ali Al Mansouri, Secretary General, and Omar Fouad Ahmad, Projects Director. These discussions were pivotal in exploring closer collaborations on conservation projects and promoting the cultural heritage of falconry. Our partner organization, the International Association for Falconry (IAF), was also well-represented at the event, and we look forward to collaborating on the falconry sessions planned for the Qatar General Assembly in April 2025.
Representing CIC at ADIHEX was Tristan Breijer FRGS, Senior Communications and Public Affairs Advisor, who facilitated these important discussions and engagements.
