The International Council for Game and Wildlife Conservation (CIC) has released the agenda for its 71st General Assembly, which is taking place in Doha, Qatar, from April 25–27, 2025. Under the theme “Mediation”, this year’s event will explore the role of hunters in conservation diplomacy, stakeholder engagement, and balancing land use with biodiversity.
Key Highlights:
- Day 1: Mediation in Hunting and Conservation – Discussions on conservation conflict resolution with speakers from the Munich Security Conference, UK House of Lords, and European Landowners’ Organization.
- Day 2: Falconry, Culture & Conservation – Exploring falconry’s cultural significance and its role in conservation, featuring global experts.
- Networking & Awards – Including the Presidential Reception, Gala Dinner, and CIC Wildlife Photo Prize.
