The CIC French Delegation is inviting CIC members to join a cultural programme in Baden-Baden and Strasbourg from 11 to 13 October 2026. The programme is part of the CIC Cultural Agenda, which aims to encourage members from different CIC delegations to meet, take part in cultural and sporting activities and strengthen connections across the CIC network.
11 October – Baden-Baden
The first day in Baden-Baden is optional and includes two cultural activities. At 11:00, participants can visit the Fabergé Museum. The visit will be organised upon request, so members interested in joining should let the organisers know in advance. At 15:00, there will be a performance of Casse-Noisette (The Nutcracker). Ballet tickets should be booked directly by participants.
12 October – Strasbourg
On 12 October, the programme moves to Strasbourg, with a visit to the Council of Europe and a series of presentations focusing on European culture and heritage. Participants will meet at 10:30 in front of the Council of Europe (Palais de l’Europe). The visit will begin at 11:00 and will include a film screening, followed by a presentation on the European Heritage Days. Lunch will take place from 13:00 to 14:30. Members who would like to join the lunch should inform the organisers in advance. The afternoon programme will include presentations on cultural policy at the Council of Europe and the European Union, followed by an introduction to the Council of Europe’s conventional activities. The programme will be held in English or French. Please remember to bring a passport or national ID for the security check at the Council of Europe.
13 October – Alsace
The final day offers the possibility of an optional visit to the Alsace Wine Route. This can be organised upon request. Strasbourg town centre is also included as an option for those who would prefer to explore the city.
Accommodation
For those staying in Strasbourg, the recommended hotel is LÉONOR Hôtel.
