A Significant Contribution within an Extraordinary 700,000 USD Raised for Conservation
12 November 2025 – Houston, Texas
The International Order of Saint Hubertus (IOSH) delivered an exceptional display of generosity and conservation leadership at its annual dinner and auction, held on 12 November at the Coronado Club in Houston, Texas. The evening was expertly organised by John Arnoldy and Vidal G. Martinez on behalf of IOSH, in close cooperation with Tristan Breijer on behalf of the CIC as Director of Communications and Public Affairs. Their efforts ensured a distinguished event marked by tradition, fellowship and a shared commitment to wildlife.
Through the remarkable generosity of IOSH members, who contributed their time, invitations and personal initiatives, the event raised more than 700,000 USD in total. Within this outstanding figure, over 100,000 USD was raised specifically for the International Council for Game and Wildlife Conservation (CIC). A further share supported the Game and Wildlife Conservation Trust (GWCT) and other partner organisations. These contributions demonstrate IOSH’s dedication to international conservation by supporting organisations that actively research, advocate and defend sustainable hunting around the world.
The evening also saw the attendance of His Imperial and Royal Highness István von Habsburg-Lothringen, Grand Master of IOSH, newly elected as the CIC Head of Delegation for Mexico. His presence highlighted the strong partnership between IOSH and the CIC.

A highlight of the auction was a unique buffalo hunt in Tanzania, generously donated by CIC Executive Committee Special Advisor for Africa, Michel Mantheakis. His contribution embodied the personal commitment of CIC members to supporting conservation efforts on the ground. In addition to this, numerous CIC members offered a wide range of exceptional items, experiences and their personal invitations. Their collective generosity played a central role in achieving the remarkable total and reflected the shared dedication of IOSH and CIC membership to wildlife, tradition and responsible stewardship.
The CIC expresses its sincere appreciation to all the CIC Members who donated, to John Arnoldy, Vidal G. Martinez, His Imperial and Royal Highness István von Habsburg-Lothringen, and all IOSH and CIC members for their outstanding commitment. The funds raised will directly strengthen the CIC’s expanding work in international policy, applied wildlife science and sustainable use projects across more than eighty countries.
We encourage CIC members and partners to follow IOSH’s example. Every contribution, whether financial or in-kind, strengthens our collective ability to safeguard wildlife, support rural communities and uphold sustainable hunting as a vital conservation tool.
